manuals and posters
Along with the various boxes, medication and equipment, the Jungle Box Project also provides manuals and posters for the villagers. Altogether, there are 5 manuals:
Basic/Diagnostic Methods (a Manual that contains instructions for how to use basic equipment
First Aid Manual (Procedures and how to use medication)
Natural Disaster Procedures Manual
Water Filtration System Manual
1. MEDICINE MANUAL:
The medicine manual will entail how to use each medicine. Furthermore, the manual will contain dosage, warnings and side effects which correspond to the numbering system of the medication.
2. DIAGNOSTICS MANUAL
This manual will cover the methods of using the equipment included in the Jungle Box. For example, how to take someone's blood pressure and whether it is below or above the normal level (along with the diastolic and systolic values). This manual will help reinforce the training that we will provide for the villagers.
3. FIRST AID MANUAL:
The first aid manual contains methods and procedures in different situations, ranging from minor to serious situations. For example, CPR, how to deal with a snake bite, procedures for a person who is having a seizure, and many more. These will - like the diagnostic manual - reinforce the training that we will provide for the villagers.
4. DISASTER MANUAL:
The disaster manual includes procedures for disasters, especially since there is a larger risk of natural disasters due to global warming - and its amplified effect of climate change and extreme weather.
5. WELLBEING PROMOTING POSTERS
Lastly, the wellbeing manual entails information on how to live a healthy life for the villagers. Not only does this align with the government's campaigns of promoting dietary change and the warnings against smoking and alcohol consumption, but also helps educate villagers about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle - including exercise, a balanced diet, and many others.
